Summer Reading Programs: June 1 - August 1
|
Beginning June 1, the FLPL is hosting an exciting slate of Summer Reading programs and events for all ages! This summer, we have three different programs:
Kids' Summer Reading (for children aged 10 and under):
For this program, children will have a goal of 20 books to read over the summer. All participating children will receive a small prize, be eligible for grand prizes, and be invited to our August 1 celebration concert by children’s performing artist, Mark Seymore. Sign up for the program at the Youth Services Desk. For a schedule of Summer Reading events for kids, click here.
CRAVE (for students aged 11-15):
This brand new program is aimed at students who crave knowledge, opportunities, and entertainment. Participants will receive a chance to win an iPod Shuffle for every five books they read. Events will include a Twilight screening, a Yoga and Smoothies night, and a Back to School Fashions program presented by Aeropostale. Pick up reading logs at the Youth Services Desk or at the teen computer area. For a complete schedule of CRAVE events, click here.
Adult Summer Reading (for patrons aged 16 and up):
The Adult Summer Reading Program returns this summer with a new slate of prizes! Simply fill out the reading logs (available at the Circulation desk), and receive an entry in our prize drawing for every 5 books you read. Prizes include restaurant and shopping packages, savings bonds, and more. For a complete schedule of Adult Summer Reading events, click here.
