"The
Screening Room" Film Series
|
All this year, the FLPL will be hosting a new film series,
“The Screening Room: Classics, Crowd-Pleasers
and Neglected Gems,” chosen and introduced
by author and movie historian Terry Pace, who teaches
English and film courses at the University of North Alabama.
Pace says of the series, “The library is the cultural
center of the community and an ideal gathering place for
film fans. These days we have all grown accustomed to
watching movies in the comfort of our homes, but there’s
nothing quite like watching films in a group setting,
where we can share our reactions with others. That really
tends to heighten both the experience and the enjoyment.”
