About the Library - Foundation information

The Florence-Lauderdale Public Library Foundation was created in 2002 to provide long term financial support to the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library and to demonstrate the community's commitment to the creation of excellence in their public library.

Foundation Activity

  • December 2002 - The Foundation was established to provide long term support for the library.
  • May 2005 - Foundation presents $20,000 to purchase books and materials for Youth Services.
  • September 2005 - The Foundation hosted An Evening With Donald Trump. Over 400 people attended a spectacular evening of music, a five course gourmet dinner, and a speech by the international business tycoon, Donald Trump. Over $380,000 was raised.
  • March 2006 - The Foundation presented $250,000 to the library to aid in increasing the collection

The Florence-Lauderdale Public Library Foundation is a 501c(3) charitable organization. It welcomes gifts of all sizes and accepts donations of cash, securities, or tangible personal property.
